Kohtla-Järve Maleva Põhikooli õpilased osalesid rahvusvahelise Erasmus+ projekti teisel kohtumisel Türgis.
18.–24. mail osales Kohtla-Järve Maleva Põhikooli tüdrukute meeskond rahvusvahelises Erasmus+ projektis "ARTSTEM Explore: Bridge to the Future – Exploration through STEM and the Arts". Seekordne projektikohtumine toimus Türgis, Balıkesiri linnas.
Projektinädala jooksul võtsid õpilased osa mitmekesistest õppe- ja loovtegevustest, mille eesmärk oli arendada koostööoskusi, julgustada digitaalseid ja kunstilisi eneseväljendusviise ning tugevdada inglise keele kasutamist rahvusvahelises keskkonnas.
Kohtumise raames viidi läbi mitmeid aktiivõppemänge, mis aitasid õpilastel üksteisega paremini tuttavaks saada ja oma suhtlemisoskusi arendada. Näiteks:
- Ülesanne „Ühe minuti tutvustus“, kus iga osaleja rääkis endast ühe minuti jooksul, vahetades partnereid seni, kuni kõik olid kõigiga suhelnud.
- Mitmesugused loomingulised arutelumängud segarühmades, nagu „Nimeta 10 sinist eset“, „Metsloomad“, „Esemed, millega saab teha märkmeid“.
- Alias’e põhimõttel mäng, kus rühmaliikmed pidid ära arvama, millest jutt käib, tuginedes vaid seletustele.
Olulise osana projektist loodi digitaalseid raamatuid, kus õpilased said kombineerida kunsti ja STEM-ainete (loodusteadus, tehnoloogia, inseneeria, matemaatika) teadmisi. Töö toimus Canva ja Giphy programmide abil. Iga paar valis oma raamatu teema iseseisvalt, mis julgustas vastutustunnet ja loovat lähenemist.
Samuti kasutati AR-tehnoloogiat raamatute rikastamiseks ning lõpp-produkte esitleti teistele osalejatele. Esitlused ja hindamine pakkusid väärtuslikku kogemust töö reflekteerimisel ja teiste loomingulise panuse mõistmisel.
Päevakavadesse kuulusid ka liikumispausid ja sportlikud tegevused, mis aitasid hoida energiat ja pakkusid vaimset vaheldust. Lisaks osalesid õpilased startup-ideede messil, kus nad said inspiratsiooni ja ülevaate sellest, kuidas sünnib innovatsioon.
Projekt pakkus osalejatele väärtusliku kogemuse töötada rahvusvahelises meeskonnas, kasutada digitehnoloogiat loovalt ning arendada keele- ja koostööoskusi. Sellised ettevõtmised avardavad noorte maailmapilti, innustavad loovust ja tugevdavad usku oma võimetesse. Kohtumine Türgis oli edukas samm sillana tulevikku, kus teadus ja kunst põimuvad ühiste eesmärkide nimel.
Kohtla-Järve Maleva Basic School Students Took Part in the Second Meeting of the International Erasmus+ Project in Turkey
From May 18 to 24, the girls' team from Kohtla-Järve Maleva Basic School participated in the international Erasmus+ project "ARTSTEM Explore: Bridge to the Future – Exploration through STEM and the Arts." This time, the project meeting was held in the city of Balıkesir, Turkey.
Throughout the project week, students engaged in a variety of educational and creative activities aimed at developing teamwork skills, encouraging digital and artistic self-expression, and strengthening the use of English in an international environment.
During the meeting, several active learning games were conducted to help students get to know each other better and improve their communication skills. For example:
- The "One Minute Introduction" task, where each participant talked about themselves for one minute, switching partners until everyone had interacted with each other.
- Various creative discussion games in mixed groups, such as "Name 10 Blue Things," "Wild Animals," and "Items You Can Use to Take Notes."
- A game based on the Alias principle, where team members had to guess the topic based only on verbal descriptions.
A significant part of the project involved creating digital books, allowing students to combine their knowledge of art and STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). The work was carried out using Canva and Giphy software. Each pair independently chose the theme of their book, which encouraged a sense of responsibility and creative thinking.
AR technology was also used to enrich the books, and the final products were presented to the other participants. These presentations and the feedback sessions provided valuable experience in reflecting on one's own work and appreciating the creative contributions of others.
The daily program also included movement breaks and sports activities, which helped maintain energy and offered mental variety. Additionally, students took part in a startup ideas fair, where they gained inspiration and insight into how innovation is born.
The project offered participants a valuable opportunity to work in an international team, use digital technology creatively, and develop language and collaboration skills. Such initiatives broaden young people's horizons, inspire creativity, and strengthen confidence in their abilities. The meeting in Turkey was a successful step toward building a bridge to the future, where science and art merge in pursuit of common goals.
